Recipes for the Month

Pecan Rolls (serves 4 to 6 people)

Ingredients:
1 pkg. of Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls (12pk)
1 pkg. of Butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)
1 stick of margarine
1/2 cup of light brown sugar
1/2 cup of chopped pecans
Cinnamon

Place dough in 9X13 Pyrex dish. Combine pudding, 2 dashes of cinnamon, and nuts in a small bowl. Pour mixture over dough. Melt margarine, brown sugar, 1 tsp. of corn syrup in pan and bring to a boil. Pour over dough. Cover with Saran Wrap and let rise over night on counter. Bake uncovered at 350 until golden brown.

Ingredients:
2 packs of Lemon Kool-Aid
2 packs of Tropical punch Kool-Aid
2 cups of sugar
1 lemon and 1 lime

Bo’s Hood Famous
Smothered Pork Chops (serves 4 to 6 people)
Ingredients:
Pork Loin
Garlic Powder
Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
Black Pepper
Sliced Green Peppers
Sliced Onions
Flour
Oil
Corn Starch

Cut pork loin into thick or thin chops. (whatever you prefer). Season chops with garlic powder, seasoned salt, and black pepper. Pour oil in a frying pan (just enough to cover the bottom of the pan) and heat in med/high heat until flour bubbles in oil when sprinkled. Coat the chops in flour and put into hot oil. Cook chops 4-6 minutes on each side. Drain half of the oil when chops are done. Placed sliced onions and peppers in frying pan and fry until done. Add 1 tablespoon of Cornstarch and 1 cup of water mix to make gravy.
(Add more water and Cornstarch mix to make more gravy) Pour gravy on top of chops in another container and serve with rice or mashed potatoes.)
